Charter budget keeps about $32 million in reserves

Financial

What happened

The 2026-27 budget presented for adoption on August 26, 2026 projects $48.6 million in revenue, $48.1 million in spending and an ending fund balance of about $32.1 million. That is roughly two-thirds of a full year of spending.

Why it matters to families

Most of the money comes from state per-student funding. Families may want to know how the school plans to use savings this large for students; the budget forms list about $9.7 million as committed.
