District news
District picks a project manager for employee housing

What happened
On September 14, 2026 the superintendent said the district chose Dynamic Program Management as owner's representative to help with an employee housing project, with a contract for board review expected after meetings the week of September 28. In January 2026 the board had set up a new Affordable Housing Fund and moved $250,000 into it.
Why it matters to families
Housing costs make it hard to hire and keep teachers and staff in Steamboat. A district-built housing plan could affect staffing and future spending.
The evidence
The September 14 summary describes the selection; the January 26 minutes record the $250,000 transfer and the new fund.
