Budget amended: more state aid, less use of savings
What happened
On Jul 8, 2026 the board amended the 2026-27 budget to $634,000,000. The state budget added $6.178 million in Foundation Aid, so planned use of unassigned fund balance fell by $5.9 million. Fund balance use is now $15.6 million unassigned plus $3 million committed. Charter school tuition costs rose by $3.0 million.
