Budget Advisory Committee paused for six months

What happened
A 3–2 vote paused the Budget Advisory Committee through December 23. It was not permanently dissolved.
Why it matters to families
The pause removes this formal public advisory forum during the fall bond election and budget planning period. Trustees retain authority over the budget.
The evidence
On June 23, Anderson, Wiersma and Komrosky supported the six-month pause; Barham and Schwartz opposed it. A July proposal to restart the committee received no motion, leaving the pause in place.
