Extra maintenance funding tied to $215 million bond vote

What happened
Trustees ordered a $215 million bond election 4–1. They also approved more annual maintenance funding, but only if voters pass Measure S.
Why it matters to families
The plan combines bond-funded building work with more General Fund money for upkeep. The extra General Fund commitment would compete with other ongoing needs if the condition is met.
The evidence
The June 9 resolution raises the maintenance allocation from 1% to 2% of annual General Fund spending, about $4.4 million more per year at the scale discussed. Wiersma opposed the motion. The official November 3 notice lists a $215 million bond and an estimated $20 per $100,000 of assessed value. No election result is established.
