New high school principal's contract approved 4-1 as an elementary principal resigns
What happened
The School Committee approved the superintendent's recommendation of a contract for Tiverton High School principal Joseph Battaglia, pending legal review, by 4 votes to 1. At the same meeting the superintendent reported the resignation of Amy Donnelly Roche, principal of Pocasset Elementary School. Administrative contracts more generally were approved 3-1 two weeks later.
