School's charter is up for renewal for 2026-2031
What happened
The board was set to approve Twin Rivers Charter School's renewal petition for 2026 to 2031 on October 14, 2026. Staff said in August that the renewal was scheduled for October 2026.
Why it matters to families
A charter school can only keep running if its charter is renewed. The school's authorizer, Yuba City Unified, reviews the petition after the school's board approves it.
The evidence
The October 14, 2026 agenda lists 'Consideration and possible action taken to approve TRCS Charter Petition for 2026-2031'. The August 19, 2026 minutes say preparations are underway for the charter renewal scheduled for October 2026.
