Two Rock Union — Facilities

Across the 2025-26 school year, Two Rock Union's facilities work centered on keeping school grounds safe, secure, and able to keep operating through disruptions. The earliest action, approved in December 2025, addressed power reliability: the Board accepted a Reyff Electric proposal to purchase a backup generator, leveraging a PG&E rebate program that covers up to 85% of costs (up to $50,000) for districts impacted by Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS) power shutoffs. In March 2026, the Board shifted attention to playground safety, approving a Jacobson Fence Co. project to replace artistic rebar fencing with safety-compliant chain link fencing and install a new gate to close a gap between the school's exterior wall and the playground fence, a change prompted by the Room 4 TK relocation. The most recent item, proposed in June 2026, carries the same theme: the district is proposing to remove and replace the TK/Kindergarten playground dome climber, which has reached the end of its useful life, with a new structure furnished and installed by Community Playgrounds, Inc.
