Financial

What happened

On Aug. 27, 2026, the board adopted a 2026-27 general fund budget of $138.8 million, up from $125 million in 2025-26, with revenue equal to spending. It plans for 12,231 students (up 12.5%) and adds about 67 teachers, 6 campus administrators and 10 transportation jobs. Teachers get a $2,000 raise (starting pay $64,000), and other staff get 3%. The tax rate falls slightly to $1.0528 per $100, from $1.0626.

Why it matters to families

The budget pays for the staff needed for fast growth. Even with a slightly lower rate, the district estimates the median homestead's tax bill will rise from about $1,670 to $1,745 because home values went up.

The evidence

The posted 2026-27 adopted budget book lists the raises, new positions, enrollment projection and fund summaries; the taxpayer impact statement gives the median bill estimate.
