Bad-weather days can become e-learning days

Day-to-day

What happened

The board approved a 3-year e-learning plan for 2026-2029. On days school would close for an emergency, such as bad weather, students can now do e-learning instead.

Why it matters to families

Families may need devices and internet at home on those days. Snow days may no longer mean a day off, but they also won't add days at the end of the year.

The evidence

The June 25, 2026 minutes record a hearing on the 'E-Learning Plan for 2026-2029' and a unanimous vote 'to approve the resolution of the E Learning Program in lieu of the district's scheduled emergency day.'
