Policies on student restraint, immunization and child abuse reporting move to final reading

What happened
A Sept. 14 work session reviewed policies JKA and JKA-R (use of physical intervention and restraint), JLCB and JLCB-R (immunization of students) and JLF and JLF-R (reporting child abuse). They had first readings on September 21 and were on the October 19 consent agenda for second reading. The board also took first reading of a revised criminal history records policy (GBI).
Why it matters to families
These rules govern when staff may restrain a student, how vaccine records are handled and how abuse is reported.
The evidence
The September 14 memo, the September 21 and October 19 agendas list the policies. The text of the final policies is attached to board packets not collected here.
