District news
Rochambeau School renovations are behind schedule
What happened
The Rochambeau renovation missed its August 28, 2026 contract date. About five classrooms are still under construction, and the gym skylights will not be done until early winter at best.
Why it matters to families
Students and staff are in a building that is still being worked on. The district had to hire a third party to clean the building before school opened.
The evidence
The September 2026 capital projects presentation says the project's completion is behind schedule because of an abatement contractor problem and too few workers from two main contractors. Windows and the electric upgrade are done.
