District news
Wiggins preschool is full and starting a waitlist
What happened
The November 4, 2026 agenda says the preschool has 79 students in four classrooms and must start a waitlist. The preschool director says the closing of the Summit daycare facility raised demand, and new families moving in will need a place for their children.
Why it matters to families
Families of 3- and 4-year-olds may not find a spot. The report does not say whether the board will add a classroom.
The evidence
November 4 agenda item 7B (preschool first-quarter report) lists enrollment, the waitlist and the Summit daycare closing.
