Two CTE teachers to work on credential waivers
What happened
The Oct. 7, 2026 agenda asks the board to approve two career-tech teachers (arts/media/drama and agriculture/plant science, grades 7-12) for 2026-27 on Variable Term Waivers because they lack the required English learner authorization. The same agenda includes a lease amendment and surplus property disposal.
Why it matters to families
Waivers let teachers work while they finish the authorization to teach English learners. Families of English learners in those classes may want to know what support is in place.
