2025-26 ended with a $2.7 million surplus

What happened

The district's 2025-26 unaudited actuals show $225.5 million in revenue and $222.8 million in spending, a $2.7 million surplus, helped by lower utility costs after the solar project. In March staff had projected about $6 million in unrestricted deficit spending, including the $3.5 million district office purchase, and an ending balance of about $60 million.
