Who runs Cherry Creek schools and how is it funded?
Cherry Creek School District No. 5 serves the southeast Denver suburbs, including parts of Aurora, Centennial, Greenwood Village and Glendale. A five-member board elected from geographic districts sets policy and hires the superintendent. Most operating money comes from the Colorado school finance formula plus local property taxes. In 2024 voters approved a bond and a mill levy override, which the board cited when discussing technology spending.
