What happened

On October 22, trustees approved two gas buses at $236,547.47 each, including a six-year warranty option.

Why it matters to families

The purchase adds transportation capacity while using targeted program funds for most of the cost.

The evidence

The corrected funding split is 80% expanded-learning opportunity funds and 20% transportation funds. The vote was 5–1 with Acuña opposed. The total authorization is $473,094.94; this is a purchase approval, not confirmation of vehicle delivery.
