Teachers ratify agreement after spring impasse

What happened
CNTA told trustees September 8 that 92% of members who voted had ratified its agreement with the district, following spring impasse and summer mediation. The agreement was included in the consent vote.
Why it matters to families
The parties have moved beyond the impasse, while the full contract and financial disclosure are needed to assess exact costs.
The evidence
The union described improvements in compensation, benefits, class size, workload and programs, without stating detailed numerical terms. August’s tentative-agreement announcement and September ratification supersede the May impasse-only status. A 92% vote share is not 92% of every employee.
