What happened

On July 13, 2026 the board approved the resolution calling a bond election for November 3, 2026. The district's June capital plan describes about $157 million in three phases, paid by keeping the current 10-mill debt tax rate rather than raising it: a high school auditorium, fieldhouse, pool and gyms, middle school cafeteria and roof work, and elementary parking, cafeteria and gym additions.

Why it matters to families

If it passes, the bond pays for major new spaces and repairs at every school over several years. Voters decide whether to keep paying the current debt tax rate for longer to fund it.

The evidence

July 13, 2026 minutes record approval of the 'Regular School Election Resolution.' The June 8, 2026 Capital Planning Update (marked draft) says the plan 'Maintains current millage rate of 10.00 mills with no tax rate increase' and 'Generates $157M in capital funding.' The exact ballot wording was not collected.
