Board approves student-phone policy

What happened

Trustees approved a student-phone policy at second reading. The superintendent said principals would develop family communications.

Why it matters to families

The rules affect how students use personal devices at school; precise implementation should be checked against the adopted text.

The evidence

The June 11 educational-services item receives a motion and affirmative vote. May 7 first-reading discussion considered instructional and emergency flexibility. Complete adopted text was not collected, so this is not characterized as a specific bell-to-bell ban.
