What happened

After grants supporting Margaret’s Place and community-school positions expired, the superintendent described a broader district program with a wellness coordinator, school wellness centers, licensed clinical social-work services and interns.

Why it matters to families

Families are losing a familiar program while the district builds a wider service model; campus access, capacity and continuity need follow-up.

The evidence

A parent asked about Margaret’s Place ending. In closing remarks the superintendent confirmed expired grants and explained the district program being built. The August 4 board also approved a CSULA clinical affiliation including social-work placements at no district cost. The recording does not establish that every planned service is already operational.
