Board considers leasing out Silver Peak school buildings
What happened
The October 13, 2026 agenda included a resolution to lease the district-owned Silver Peak facilities for commercial use, for at least $4,500 a year. If passed, lease proposals would be taken at a public meeting on November 10, 2026.
Why it matters to families
It would hand district buildings in the Silver Peak community to a business. It follows the April deal letting the county use the Goldfield annex for a health clinic and an earlier attempt to sell a Goldfield lot.
