The Board of Trustees governs this active high-school district. Its posted agendas show regular decisions affecting Fortuna High School, East High School, and Academy of the Redwoods. Some packets embed earlier minutes, but the archive has no standalone minutes for the dated 2025-26 meetings, so agendas show what was scheduled rather than what was completed.
Five trustees are listed by the district, with terms ending in 2026 or 2028.
The district says regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Fortuna High School Library.
The official archive posts agendas and packets; some packets include prior-meeting minutes, but none is a standalone dated meeting-minutes record.
The June 9 agenda scheduled a public hearing regarding the 2026-27 FUHSD budget. The agenda does not establish adoption or final spending amounts.
District budget; the collected agenda does not state an amount.
Humboldt County’s official November 3, 2026 election index links its qualified-candidate list, which includes the Fortuna Union High School District governing-board contest. The list names five qualified candidates; the number of seats and term lengths are not specified in that list.
