District borrows up to $500,000 to fix facilities and track

Facilities

What happened

On August 24, 2026, the board approved LiveOak PF to arrange a $500,000 maintenance note, a loan for repairs to existing buildings and grounds. On the same day it let the superintendent hire a track contractor through a purchasing cooperative, after approving track improvement and replacement in July.

Why it matters to families

$500,000 is about one-seventh of the district's yearly budget, and the loan must be repaid from future budgets.

The evidence

The August 24, 2026 minutes record the motion on the $500,000 maintenance note (no vote count is written) and the track contractor authority. The July 20 minutes approve track improvement and replacement, and the September agenda lists the maintenance note under facilities updates.
