Tax rate cut to $0.7382

Financial

What happened

For 2026-27, the district proposed a total tax rate of $0.7382 per $100 of property value ($0.6128 for operations and $0.1254 for debt), down from $0.8366. Its estimate puts the typical homestead tax bill at about $623, up from about $613, because home values rose. The budget adopted on August 31 plans $4,398,864 in revenue and $4,326,876 in spending.

Why it matters to families

The rate goes down, but many homeowners will pay slightly more because their homes are valued higher.
