2026-27 budget plans for a $700,000 shortfall as enrollment falls
What happened
The 2026-27 budget adopted June 23, 2026 projects about $33 million in general fund revenue and a loss of about $700,000. It assumes 50 fewer students (a 1.3% drop) and staffing reduced to state-funded levels.
Why it matters to families
A second straight deficit year draws down reserves. Falling enrollment also cuts state money for technology, literacy and other programs.
