District news
Voters decide a $1.75 million-a-year school levy on November 3
What happened
The board called a November 3, 2026 election on a two-year supplemental levy of $1,750,000 a year (July 2027 to June 2029). It would pay for non-reimbursed transportation, software licenses and part of the pay for classified and extracurricular staff.
Why it matters to families
The levy replaces one that expires June 30, 2027. The district estimates it costs $60 per $100,000 of taxable value, about the same as now. If it fails, about $1.75 million a year would have to come from cuts or other money.
The evidence
The resolution adopted July 14, 2026 sets out the ballot question, the spending purposes and the $60-per-$100,000 estimate. The July 14 minutes record its approval.
