Board ends the agriculture program
What happened
On June 8, 2026 the board voted 7-0 to dissolve the agriculture (ag/FFA) program, after letting audience members speak. The idea was first discussed and tabled on May 26.
Why it matters to families
Students who planned to take agriculture classes or join FFA at Kiowa County will no longer have that program. Ag classes are often a main career and technical path in rural schools.
