District news
Teacher and staff contracts approved months late

What happened
Teacher and support staff contracts expired June 30, 2025. In December 2025 the union said retirement language was the main sticking point, and the board did not approve the contracts. On January 20, 2026, the board approved three-year contracts covering July 2025 through June 2028.
Why it matters to families
Staff worked half the school year under expired contracts. The new deals lock in terms through 2028, and pay raises from the state's Teacher Salary Increase Allocation were bargained separately in June to August 2026.
