Rock Ridge adds an apartment-style independent-living lab
What happened
Rock Ridge completed a new independent-living lab in summer 2026. The apartment-style space lets students practice cooking, laundry, shopping and budgeting. Staff were still outfitting it when they presented it on September 8.
Why it matters to families
Students with disabilities gain a space to practice daily skills. Staff also plan learning activities with general-education peers.
The evidence
Rock Ridge staff and construction staff presented the completed lab as one of the first four high-school labs built that summer.
