Board has lost members and is struggling to recruit a finance expert
What happened
In January 2026, board leaders said two directors had left during the year, and they formed an ad hoc committee to recruit replacements with specific skills. By May the chair said they had talked with seven or eight people without finding someone with a finance background. New members Patty Duffy (July 2026) and Rebecca Grant (nominated October 2026) have since joined or been proposed.
Why it matters to families
The volunteer board oversees the school's budget, policies and head of school. Gaps in financial expertise matter more when the state rates the school's finances high risk.
