Enrollment fell by 154 students this year
What happened
The preliminary October 2025 count showed 6,950 students from preschool through 12th grade, 154 fewer than the year before. The count of students the state pays for fell by 122.5 to 6,560.5.
Why it matters to families
State school funding follows the number of students, so fewer students means less money for staff and programs.
