2026-27 budget spends more than it takes in
What happened
The adopted 2026-27 budget projects $1,728,468 in general fund revenue, down 15.1% from 2025-26. It projects $1,854,710 in spending, a deficit of about $126,000. In August, new state funding added $229,826. The 2025-26 books closed with an unassigned balance of $412,797.
Why it matters to families
A district with about 60 students has little room to absorb shortfalls. Reserves cover the gap for now.
