What happened

The September 16 agenda proposes a districtwide AI policy that would allow student use only under a district plan and a teacher's instructions.

Why it matters to families

The proposal would set when students may use AI, require citation rules and family notice or consent, and prohibit uses involving cheating, misinformation, bullying, or confidential information.

The evidence

The posted policy draft calls for an AI plan, staff approval of tools, guardian consent procedures, assignment-specific permission, citation or documentation, prohibited uses, and consequences.
