Wickford Middle School gets a new assistant principal
What happened
On September 30, 2025 the committee unanimously approved a 2025-2028 contract for Courtney Macropoulos as assistant principal of Wickford Middle School, on the superintendent's recommendation. The post was open because the previous assistant principal resigned, a resignation accepted at the September 9, 2025 meeting. The superintendent said the new assistant principal brings 22 years of experience and came to North Kingstown from Coventry.
Why it matters to families
An assistant principal handles much of the daily discipline, scheduling and family contact in a middle school, so a change in that job is felt directly by students.
