2027 budget adopted; advertised tax rate up to $1.4354

What happened

On October 8, 2026 the board voted 4-0 to adopt the 2027 budget and tax rates. The advertised budget is $24.1 million and the advertised total tax rate is $1.4354 per $100, compared with $1.0358 approved for 2026. About $0.20 of the advertised rate is the proposed referendum, which only applies if voters approve it. Net assessed value in the district fell 4.2% to $891.3 million.

Why it matters to families

Property owners' school tax bills depend on this rate, and the state can still lower it before final approval.
