Teacher raises depend on the referendum
What happened
A tentative teacher contract presented on October 8, 2026 has two versions. If the referendum passes, starting pay rises to $50,500 and teachers get $3,125 raises; if it fails, starting pay is $50,000 and raises are $2,125. Teachers with a literacy endorsement get $200 either way. The board is set to vote in November.
