District news
New math books for every grade
What happened
The board approved new math materials: Great Minds for kindergarten through 6th grade and Savvas for 7th through 12th grade. This replaces a mix of programs with one district-wide math plan, paid in part by a state math-materials grant.
Why it matters to families
Students in every grade will learn math from new materials this year, and teachers are getting training on them.
The evidence
The July 16, 2026 minutes record the approvals of Great Minds (K-6) and Savvas (7-12); the June 18 minutes record the state math grant assurance.
