Board approves 2% raises and a new health contribution for SEIU staff
What happened
The board approved a 2% salary-schedule increase for SEIU members effective July 1, 2026, plus a one-time payment equal to 1% of pay. Full-time members will also receive a district health-benefit contribution at the Kaiser HMO employee-only premium rate; part-time members’ one-time payment is prorated.
Why it matters to families
The agreement changes ongoing salary and benefit compensation for SEIU employees across district schools and offices, in addition to a one-time payment.
The evidence
The Aug. 4 packet specifies the 2% salary-schedule increase, 1% equal-dollar one-time payment (due by Aug. 31), and full-time health contribution. The meeting transcript (document 123730) records the board's unanimous approval of the SEIU agreement.
