Board adopts the 2026-27 Code of Character, Conduct and Support

Day-to-day

What happened

On August 5 the board held a hearing and then approved the 2026-27 Code of Character, Conduct and Support, the student behavior and discipline rules for the year. No one spoke at the hearing.

Why it matters to families

The code tells students and parents what behavior is expected and what consequences follow. It was open for a 30-day public comment period before the vote.

The evidence

Board members suggested adding digital-citizenship expectations for adults and timely parent communication by principals. One member said she voted yes while keeping concerns about the police language and restorative practices and wants discipline data next year.
