Principals at three of five schools change for 2026-27
What happened
In March the principals of Fort Logan Northgate and SOAR Academy resigned effective June 1, and in April the Alice Terry Elementary principal resigned effective June 30. The Fort Logan principal later withdrew her resignation. Christopher Garcia was hired for SOAR Academy and Meagan Mullens-Williams for Alice Terry, and both were introduced in August.
Why it matters to families
Principals run daily school life. New leaders at two schools after a strike year can change culture and staffing.
The evidence
Consent agendas in the Mar. 18, Apr. 28, May 26 and Jun. 23 minutes record the resignations, the retracted resignation, and the new hires. The Aug. 25 minutes record the introductions.
