Voters asked to renew $300,000-a-year school levy

What happened

In February 2026 the board called an election for May 19, 2026 on a two-year supplemental levy of $300,000 a year, $600,000 in total. The superintendent said the current levy ends June 30, 2026, so it has to go back to voters. The posted minutes do not report the result.

Why it matters to families

A supplemental levy is local property tax money for daily operations. Without it, the district would lose about 5% of its general fund.
