County board to decide appeal for new Yuba City charter school by December 5
What happened
California Learning Academy, to be run by Highlands Community Charter and Technical Schools, appealed Yuba City Unified's denial of its charter petition to the county board on August 7, 2026. After a September 9 public hearing, an October agenda item would extend the decision deadline from November 5 to December 5, 2026.
