Fewer clubs and activities for 2026-27
What happened
After the budget cuts, the number of clubs drops at every level for 2026-27. High school clubs go from 50 to 35. Middle schools go from 64 to 46 across the two buildings. Elementary schools go from 58 to 35 across five schools. No new clubs were approved.
Why it matters to families
Students who joined these clubs may find them merged or gone. Families can raise money for removed clubs, but not door-to-door, and the board must approve donations.

The September 16, 2026 'Extra-Curricular Activities' slides give the club counts and the selection process, and list the June reductions (about $365,000 in co-curricular and field-trip funds).
