Who controls Wayland's school resources?

A five-member elected School Committee proposes the plan; Town Meeting authorizes it

Wayland's five elected School Committee members set policy, oversee the superintendent and recommend the school operating budget. The Town Manager and Finance Committee review the full municipal plan, and Town Meeting appropriates it. Local property taxes fund most Town operations, supplemented by state aid including Chapter 70 and special-education circuit breaker reimbursements, federal funds, grants and revolving revenue.
