Boundary changes move into family notices and bus planning

What happened
At the March meeting, staff confirmed elementary boundary changes had been approved in February and said notices would go to families. The board also adopted its transportation plan.
Why it matters to families
Families affected by a new boundary need to confirm their school assignment and transportation eligibility with the attendance office.
The evidence
Staff said current students would be grandfathered unless families requested a change. The transportation presentation described RFID passes, fall registration and walking-distance standards; voluntary out-of-boundary transportation generally depends on special-program eligibility or available capacity.
