Students challenge cancellation of food-day fundraising

What happened
At the October 14 meeting, student leaders said removal of food day hurt club fundraising. The board president and superintendent said they had not made or known of the change.
Why it matters to families
Student organizations depend on fundraising, and the response will test whether students help shape the replacement or restoration.
The evidence
Superintendent Terrence Davis said the change had not followed an appropriate process and promised work with students, school administration and nutrition services. The meeting does not establish that food day has been restored or that the underlying legal questions have been resolved.
