Board weighs a $1.1 million bond for new classroom ventilators

What happened
The school's classroom ventilators are as old as the building. The new boiler project does not replace them. In September 2026, leaders said the board must decide by November whether to ask voters for a bond of about $1.1 million. The roof also needs work.
Why it matters to families
If the board goes ahead, town voters would be asked to borrow money for the school, which would affect local taxes. The board wants to do as much as it can in one bond so it does not have to keep going back to the town.
The evidence
The September 9, 2026 minutes say a bond of about $1.1 million for ventilators needs a decision in November. Minutes from April 8 (about $800,000 estimate), June 10 and August 12 describe the ventilators, and the October 14 minutes discuss the bond plans.
