Lockdown rules changed after August threat

What happened
After a threat against the schools in August, later called a 'swatting' incident, state police and the sheriff blocked all school entrances. The division reviewed what happened and refined its lockdown steps. The sheriff's office incident command now decides when restrictions end and how dismissal works.
Why it matters to families
Parents should know who controls pick-up and dismissal during an emergency. Two part-time students later left the CTE program after the incident.
The evidence
In the September 9, 2026 meeting recording, staff debrief the August threat and describe the new lockdown and dismissal procedures; the October 14 meeting refers to it as a swatting incident.
