New Campbell County High School: stadium in 2027, then old building torn down

What happened

The state-funded replacement of Campbell County High School is underway. The new stadium and bus loop should finish in March 2027. The G building is set for renovation from March to October 2027, and then the old school will be torn down for a new parking lot.

Why it matters to families

CCHS students and families will deal with construction, changed parking and new drop-off routes for about two years. The district says the construction site is closed to the public.

The August 25, 2026 minutes give the phase timeline: stadium 'trending to be completed in March 2027', G building renovation 'March 15, 2027 - October 15, 2027', and Phase IV demolition of the existing building. The board approved demolition on January 13 and the Phase II contract 5-1 on April 14.
